7R Warehouse of art: Young art for the planet – 7R promotes young artists and environmental activities

7R, an investor and developer, specializing in providing innovative warehouse and production space, is launching the"7R Warehouse of art: Young art for the planet" event. It aims to promote young artists and strengthen actions related to care for the environment. An integral part of the initiative is the "Technology. Ecology. Human. Coexistence" contest, organized jointly with the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw.

The project "7R Warehouse of art: Young art for the planet" is one of the elements of the pro-ecological approach of 7R, a developer implementing technologically advanced and ecological buildings of the future which then become an integral part of the environment. A key element of the event is the competition, "Technology. Ecology. Man. Coexistence", organized jointly with the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts for the university’s students and graduates.

We have been providing warehouse and manufacturing space for over a decade. We implement innovative, environmentally friendly solutions in our facilities, because we believe that business should take responsibility for ecology. When planning the future of our operations, we want to listen to the voice of the young generation.

The competition is an opportunity to see how art can influence warehouses and how industrial spaces can inspire artists. With the title of the competition, the organizers put forward the theory that humanity, technology and ecology can coexist harmoniously. This theory is an inspiration for the artistic expression of the young generation as well as the selection of the most interesting projects of applied art focused on such ideas as respect for natural resources, people’s well-being and technology that encourages the protection of nature.

Art must address topics that are relevant to today’s society. The competition should result in pro-ecological, creative solutions that respond to contemporary needs, but at the same time can serve over the long term. This is extremely important in the context of respect for the planet's resources.

The competition is intended for students and graduates of the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts who are under 35 years of age. The task of the competition is to create an applied art project on ecological themes in one of three categories: ergonomic seating, a mural for a fire protection water storage tank and an ecological advertising gadget for 7R.

Submissions can be made until April 15, 2022, using the form available on the www.7rwarehouseofart.pl.

The winners of the competition will receive financial rewards. The winning projects will be presented during the “7R Warehouse of art: Young art for the planet” event, which will be organized in a 7R warehouse space, in Warsaw, in Q2 2022.

7R Warehouse of art: Young art for the planet is another chance for 7R and art to meet. An earlier opportunity for art and industrial interiors to complement each other was an exhibition of graphics, "3x7R", by an outstanding Kraków-based artist, Anna Sobol-Wejman. It was held in a warehouse at the 7R Park Kraków logistics park in Kokotów, near Kraków, in November 2019.
